Alright, as I mentioned above I am going to show you How to Create a WordPress Order Form With Online Payments with the help of WPForms. You can add popular payments options to your Forms like Paypal, Stripe, Authorize.Net and also you can accept credit card payments. Follow the below steps to create a WordPress Order Form with online payments.
Step 1 – Create a Simple Order Form in WordPress
To create a simple order form in WordPress, the first thing you have to is Install and Activate the WPForms plugin. After completing the Installation and Activation process, go to WPForms → Add New to create a new form.
Now, set up your Order form with the name of your form and select the Billing/ Order form template.
Now, the next step is to modify what items are available to order. To di this, you have to scroll down to the “Available Items” section on the right that the template includes and click on it.
After selecting this, it will open up the “Field Options” in the left panel. Now, you can rename the field, add or remove order items and change the prices.
You can also give people images to choose from when filling out your online order form. To do this, click on the Use Image Choices checkbox in the Form editor.
Now, After doing this step you will be able to upload images along with your items which helps people to get a visual look at what they are ordering. After this step, You can add additional fields to your form by dragging and dropping them from the left-hand side to right-hand side.
Step 2 – Configure Your Form Notifications
Notifications are helpful and also a great way to send an email when your form is submitted. Here, with this option, you can send a notification to members of your choice by adding them to the Send to the Email Address field. To start sending notifications, Click on the Settings tab in the form builder and then click Notifications.
You can configure whether to send order confirmation emails or not, if yes then you should select to whom and use the conditional logic.
Step 3 – Configure Your Form Confirmations
Confirmations messages are the one which displays a success message once they submit an order form. Before setting up that, I would like to tell you that there are three different types of confirmations you can choose from.
- Message→ It is the default confirmation type.
- Go to URL→ Using this you can send your customers to a different website.
- Show Page→This Option will take your customers to a specific web page on your site thanking them for their order.
Alright, To set up your confirmation in WPForms, click on the Confirmation tab in the Form editor under settings. Next, select the type of Confirmation type you would like to create. For example, let’s select the Message.
Now, you can customize the confirmation message as you wish and click Save when you are done.
Step 4 – Configure the Payment Settings
Configuring the Payment settings to process order is the most important part of your order form. As I mentioned above, WPForms supports payment options like Stripe, Paypal, Authorize.net, etc. You can choose your payment gateway as you wish. You can install and activate the right payment addon after you decide.
Once you have done with that, Click the payments tab in the form editor, choose your payment options, Configure your settings and click the save to store your changes.
Step 5 – Add your Order Form to your Site
With WPForms you can add your order form wherever you like to showcase it. You can add it to your blog post, your sidebar, your sidebar etc. It’s really simple. All you have to do is go to the page where you want your order form to be displayed. Now add a new WPForms block and select the order form which you want to display.
Now, update or publish your page and click on the Preview option to view your Order form.
